The combined actuator, whose industrial design is shaped considering user and integrator needs, offers various usage purposes with the Optimus Stack infrastructure.
The Optimus Combined Actuator Family, capable of performing Lighting, Switch/Valve, Curtain/Blinds, 3-Point Motor, and Fan Coil control operations through a single device, consists of models with 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24 contact outputs.
Compatible with Optimus KNX Stack, the multi-sensor is a presence and motion detector designed for indoor spaces. It is used to turn on/off lighting systems and/or heating-cooling (HVAC) systems depending on movement and/or presence and to adjust the lighting level. It also offers constant light level control in lighting systems.
It transmits measurement information to the KNX line via temperature and humidity sensors located on it. It is powered via the KNX line without the need for external power. It is suitable for both flush-mounted and surface-mounted (with surface-mounted installation box) installations.
Designed for the KNX world with Optimus KNX Stack, this device is a universal input/output interface designed for indoor use. The Optimus Universal Interface series is available with 3, 6, and 9-channel options, and each channel is designed to be programmable as input or output according to the needs.
In input mode, the status of the contact is detected, and appropriate information in the suitable data type is transmitted to the KNX line. In output mode, the LEDs to be connected can be turned on or off according to the information coming from the KNX line. The Optimus Universal Interface is powered via the KNX line and therefore does not require an additional power source for contact scanning or LED driving.
It is a panel-type 4/8-channel 230 VAC voltage-sensing digital input device. It can be used for switching, lighting, curtain control, and counter.
It is a panel-type 6/12 -channel dry contact digital input device. It can be used for switching, lighting, curtain control, and counter.
KNX power supplies are essential components for KNX infrastructures. They provide constant voltage for powering of other components in the system and their communication with each other. OPT-PS64-122 power supply is a KNX power supply that can output a nominal current of 30 VDC (SELV), 640 mA, and has two separate outputs.
The primary output is the one that is used to supply the KNX line and has an integrated choke circuit; the other is the auxiliary output which can be used to supply another line. With its indicator, the operating status, error status, and current draw information are monitored in real-time. An additional KNX line can be created via the additional output.
An LED driver that can adjust the level of LED lighting with constant voltage. The supply voltage is determined according to the requirements of the load, between 12-24 VDC. LED lighting requiring the same voltage should be installed in each channel.
The maximum current that can be drawn per channel is 3 Amperes. Channels can be combined programmatically and physically to increase the total current to 6 A or 12 A. The device can also be used for LED drivers operating with PWM signals
The KNX stack is a software layer that enables data transmission and communication over the KNX protocol. This stack ensures that devices communicate in accordance with the KNX standard. The KNX stack manages the connection of devices such as sensors, switches, and actuators to the KNX network and handles their data exchange. Fundamentally, the KNX stack is a software structure that implements all layers of the KNX protocol.
In the KNX world, most manufacturers use third-party KNX stacks to develop their devices. The number of manufacturers developing their own KNX stacks is limited because stack development is a complex process that usually requires a high level of expertise. Optimus Solutions is one of the seven companies worldwide that have developed their own stack.
At Optimus Solutions, having our own developed KNX stack provides us with freedom and advantages. Thanks to this unique technology, we can design our solutions to precisely meet our needs and make our products more innovative and distinctive. Being independent of licensing costs allows us to use our resources more efficiently, and since we have full control over our stack, we can quickly implement updates. This not only gives us the freedom to shape the technology but also the future.
Optimus Solutions is proud to be one of the 7 members of KNX Association to have developed its very own KNX Stack.
Fully compatible with KNX Standard
Compatible with both CMSIS-RTOS and bare-metal applications, the Stack fully complies with the requirements of the KNX bus protocol.
The Stack also is capable of RF communication and Secure KNX standards.
Optimus KNX Stack Library
We’ve developed a library to strengthen the core mentality of KNX: Flexibility and compatibility.
Optimus KNX Stack is a library that users can utilize in their own products to develop KNX applications approved by the KNX Association.
Platform
Specifically tailored for STM32G0 series, which offers a competitive balance between price and performance points, the Stack supports group objects up to 8 bytes and can assign up to 250 group addresses in version 705 and up to 3000 group addresses in version 70B.
But there’s more
To start developing a software, everyone needs a compatible hardware. We’ve also came up with a solution to this:
Stack Evaluation Board.
Optimus Stack Evaluation Board
What is it?
The evaluation board is a hardware platform where developers who are new to the KNX world or new to using Optimus Stack can test and implement the KNX Stack features in their applications.
Hardware Features
It features UART, I2C, 2 GPIOs, internal temperature sensor, analog input and can be programmed using J-Link and ST-Link.
ETS
Board also has an ETS package. Our Stack, ETS package and board provide a great genesis for developers to explore and dive deep into the KNX world.
The OPT-ACG series is the new generation KNX Air Conditioner Interface series that provides two-way communication, including ambient temperature data, between smart home automation and air conditioning systems.
You can access the list of compatible air conditioning models for each product from the user manual.
The small-sized KNX Secure IP Router allows telegrams to be transmitted between different KNX lines via a LAN (IP) via a fast backbone. In addition, with this device you can connect your PC to the KNX network in ETS programming.
The device has the KNX Secure feature that can be activated via ETS. As a secure router, the device allows the connection of unsecured (these two words should be removed) communication in the KNX TP to a secure IP backbone. In addition, KNX security for the interface functionality (tunneling) provides protection against unauthorized access.
The IP address can be determined by manual configuration with the ETS or by a DHCP server. This device performs device management tunneling and routing according to the KNXnet/IP specification. The KNX Secure IP Router has an extended filter table for main groups 0 to 31 and can cache up to 150 telegrams. Power is supplied from the KNX bus.
The OPT-LC-111 KNX TP Line Coupler is a device that connects two different communication lines in KNX systems. The KNX TP Line Coupler ensures the effective and efficient operation of KNX systems.
The device has an extended filter table for main group addresses 0 to 31 and galvanic isolation between lines. The line coupler supports KNX packages compatible with ETS software (ETS 4.2 or later). The buttons on the front of the device are used to temporarily disable the telegram filter for testing. The LEDs indicate the operating conditions on the KNX bus as well as communication errors. The device is powered by the KNX line (Main Line).
